It is recommended that you be competent with good 4x4 experience from a few 4x4 tours.
- Rustic bush camping with toilets & shower.
- No power available.
- The terrain is mostly gravel roads & tracks and some tar.
- The river crossings and 4x4 loops are normally Grade 3 and can have wash-aways that may need packing to get through, etc.
- There is one technical rock section.
- The river crossings will require drivers to walk first to clear boulders, etc.
- Adverse weather and rain can result in the river crossings & 4x4 routes becoming Grade 4 and the gravel roads becoming very muddy.
- The May 2026 Floods have resulted in rough conditions in Kabouga.
- You can tow a 4x4 trailer or caravan to the campsite.
- Self-catering camping.
- Braai wood supplied.
- A recommended meal plan is provided.
- You have to cook your own meals.
