Camping Inclusions and Exclusions

Camping Inclusions and Exclusions

Included:

  • Guide in lead 4x4 vehicle (Qualified - Cathsseta NQF4, First Aid, Snake Bite First Aid, 4x4 Recovery etc.)
  • Emergency evacuation cover – SATIB
  • Planning, booking and guiding fees
  • Driver's route and safety briefing
  • Accommodation: camping
  • Braai wood
  • Recommended packing lists & guidelines to assist in making the trip more enjoyable
  • Stopping points to stock up and refuel, etc.
  • Conservation and trail fees
  • Access to emergency satellite phone

Excluded:

  • Travel to & from the start of the tour and accommodation before and after the tour are not included.
  • 4x4 vehicle hire with camping equipment - tent, fridge, chairs, utensils, crockery, cooking equipment etc.
  • First aid kit and fire extinguisher (charges will apply if used)
  • Recovery gear or equipment, spade, tyre compressor & gauge (charges will apply if used)
  • Vehicle-related costs (toll road fees, breakdowns, towing, recovery, fuel etc.)
  • Dinner, breakfast, lunch
  • Food, drinks, beverages and groceries etc.
  • Guide tips, gratuities, services not mentioned.
  • Personal items, clothing, toiletries, souvenirs, travel insurance, visa fees etc.
  • Personal shopping

4x4 Vehicle Requirements

4x4 Vehicle Requirements

All vehicles must be licensed, roadworthy and in sound mechanical condition.

  • 4x4 low range with high ground clearance, camping equipped - tent, fridge, camping equipment, etc.
  • Diff-lock or traction control for certain 4x4 tours as specified.
  • Spare keys.
  • Bash plate & rated recovery points fitted to the front and rear.
  • Recovery kit - kinetic/recovery strap, rated shackles, spade, etc.
  • A tyre pump and tyre pressure gauge.
  • Fire extinguisher.
  • First aid kit.

Optional Extras

  • Pre-tour accommodation - TBA as optional extra.
