Join us for a two-day adventure in the malaria-free Kabouga section of Addo Elephant National Park, where excitement meets natural beauty.

Highlights

Drive along the River 4x4 Loop, Vaalnek 4x4 Loop, and Woolands 4x4 Loop, experiencing lush forests and stunning mountain views. You'll cross the Sundays River twice for added adventure.
Spot hippos, elephants, and other large and dangerous wildlife in their natural habitat in the Kabouga section.
Drive through the Addo Main Camp, home to the Big 5, and witness Africa's iconic animals.
Relax at Mvubu Rustic Bush Camp, where you can enjoy the night sky after a day of exploration.

Total Distance: About 145 km
Terrain: 135 km Gravel road
Vehicle Requirements: A 4x4 vehicle with low range and high clearance is needed. You can tow 4x4 trailers and caravans.
Start Point: Kikwood
End Point: Nanaga

Itinerary

Arrival – Kirkwood to Kabouga at Addo Elephant National Park
You'll start your journey in Kirkwood, then head to Kabouga and the Mvubu Rustic Bush Camp.

Day 1 – Kabouga Addo Elephant National Park
Explore Langrugskloof and enjoy the 4x4 River Loop with its thrilling river crossings. Continue the adventure with the 4x4 Vaalnek Loop, and end your day at the Mvubu Rustic Bush Camp.

Day 2 – Kabouga Addo Elephant National Park
Day 2 offers the Woodlands 4x4 Loop, after which you can visit Kirkwood before exploring the Addo Elephant National Park.
