Route Details

  • Total Distance: About 395 km, with 220 km on gravel and off-road.
  • Terrain: Expect steep climbs and challenging bends. Some areas might require clearing overgrowth.
  • Vehicle Requirements: A 4x4 vehicle with high clearance and low range is needed. 4x4 trailers and caravans can be used.
  • Start: Plettenberg Bay
  • End: The Craggs

Itinerary

Arrival – Keurbooms
Arrive at the Forever Resort in Keurbooms, ready for our adventure.

Day 1 - Journey from Keurbooms to De Vlugt
Journey through the scenic Paardekop Pass and the winding Prince Alfred's Pass. Reach De Vlugt and visit Angie’s G-Spot before stopping at Die Plaaskind Padstal.

Day 2 - Travel from De Vlugt to Eagle Falls
Travel once more along Prince Alfred's Pass, passing through Avontuur and Buffelsdrif, before arriving at the breathtaking Eagle Falls.

Day 3 - Departure from Eagle Falls to Wilderness National Park
The day starts on the Kammanassie Road and through the picturesque Matjiesrivier Poort Pass. Pause at Louvain, follow the Voortrekker Ox Wagon Route, and traverse the Voortrekker Pass. After admiring the Woodville Big Tree, continue through Hoekwil Pass to Wilderness National Park and end the day at Ebb & Flow.

Day 4 - Journey from Wilderness to Storms River
Embark on an exciting drive through Rondevlei Pass and the historic Seven Passes Road. This path includes Hoogekraal Pass, Karatera Pass, and Homtini Pass, with a stop in Rheenendal Village. Cross Phantom Pass and explore Knysna before visiting the San Ambrose Chapel Museum. Our journey continues through Gouna Pass, Kom se Pad Pass, and past the King Edward VII Big Tree. After Plettenberg Bay Pass and Keurboomsrivierhoogte Pass, we conclude at the Nature's Valley Farm Stall in The Crags.
