Trail Details

  • Distance: 645 kilometres, with 340 kilometres off-road.
  • Vehicle needs: A 4x4 vehicle with high ground clearance and low-range capability is required. You can bring 4x4 trailers and caravans, but be prepared for deep sand.
  • Self-Sufficiency: Be ready for five days without fuel, groceries, or water.
  • Start: Augrabies Falls
  • End: Springbok

Itinerary

Arrival at Augrabies National Park

Explore the beautiful landscapes and the famous Augrabies Falls when you arrive at the national park.

Day 1: Augrabies NP to Mik River Wild Camp

Travel through Pofadder and take the Namakwa 4x4 Eco Trail. Stop at Pella and Charles Pass along the way.

Day 2: Mik River to Hartbeesmond

Start your day by visiting Klein Pella, then head to Hartbeesmond Wild Camp.

Day 3: Hartbeesmond to Ramansdrif

See the sights of Witbank and Groot Melkboom before reaching Ramansdrif Wild Camp.

Day 4: Ramansdrif to Kamgab

Pass through Goodhouse and Henkriesmond, ending the day at Kamgab Wild Camp.

Day 5: Kamgab to Goegap

Travel to Goegap, stopping at Steinkopf, Ratelpoort Pass, and Springbok for views.

Day 6: Departure via Springbok

Finish your tour as you leave through Springbok, marking the end of your adventure.
